be more patient with my son

My son is three and a half, and has started (started – more like been doing this for several months now) yelling and screaming when he doesn’t get his way. I am trying to hard to not flip out, but after a couple minutes of this, especially when it’s in public or right outside our apartment, I just can’t take it anymore.
It is hard enough to try to talk to him and get him to understand what I’m telling him when he’s in a good mood. Forget trying to get him to stop screaming once he’s started.
I just don’t know what to do.

my son is almost three years old and has a terrible temper. He hits and yells when he becomes frustrated. Out of my own frustration, I usually send him to the corner without an explanation.
i need to practice patience and spend more time explaining and teaching him right from wrong, while still being a firm, but loving parent.

My son has been diagnosed with adhd which I had a hard time accepting. But now I understand why at times he is not focused with his school work, or homework, but then again that’s alot of children.

shymeez is wondering where Mr Right is. perhaps he took a wrong turn?

I don’t know whether it’s an excuse for him or me

That has been my first step towards patience.

My son is 5 years old and very energetic. I need to remember that the end of my “work” day is the beginning of his “play”day. Sometime I am too short with him when I come home from work. Rather than just wanting to veg in front of the TV I need to use playing with him as a way to relax and de-stress from the day.
He really is an awesome boy.

My son is 7 1/2 going on 16. His mouth can get him in so much trouble. There is a saying “God grant me patience, but I want it right now” Ha! Ha! Well that would be me. :)

My son is so hyper. I have been staying home with him for about the past 4 months..and I am wiped out. We both start back to school next week. I am hoping that not being with him all day long will help me be more patient with him. That way I will be able to have an outlet to be myself and also appreciate his humor and innocence.
