Do the Thing-A-Day challenge in February

It’s done. I didn’t quite get to a thing every day, but on the days that I didn’t I was genuinely busy.

But February is long gone and anyway, I’ll be making many more things for my Etsy shop and to give to people so it’s okay.

I last posted on the 25th, since then I’ve been busy journaling. I got Steph’s journal in the mail on Wednesday after adding some last minute special touches.

Yesterday and today I took some pics of small town Kansas life for the next journal. One of them is posted above and one of then is here. That’s all I’m showing, or else someone won’t be surprised when she gets her journal.

one of them is here, and was a homework assignment from Mahinui and SG. The other one, well it’s posted on here somewhere – I’d tell you where, but then you’d read it. ;-)

OK, I knew I shouldn’t have even gone in to take a look, but I did, and now I’m hooked. I spent a few hours playing around and created 4 pages. They aren’t done, but I got a good start, trying different techniques and learning what I could and couldn’t do.

An Aquarius lass went fishing
along the Aussie coast
She cast her line out far and wide
against the rising tide.

Across the Pacific Ocean
a half-fast fishboy swam
So she wiggled and jiggled her alluring bait
and sat back to patiently wait.

The Pisces lad was hungry
for romance and things of love
he spied that loquacious 43thinger
and fell for her hook, line and sinker!

Now you may be wondering what this poem
has to do with a Scorpio Flirt
Quite simply put, I have a soft spot
for fish tales that connect two hearts!

I went through a bit of a rough patch not sleeping and lost all creative urges. Oh well.

Perfect Aim

From the corner of her eye she sees him,
across the room,
and silently watches,
unobserved.
Then carefully, cautiously,
with a wink of her eye,
she aims.
And sends her stinger,
like Cupid’s arrow
