Snuck away to Calgary a few months ago when i was 17 with 2 friends of mine . It was my friend’s 19th birthday we didn’t really have a plan we just left with a $1000 on a greyhound bus that left at 12 am and got to Calgary 5 am … when Calgary is only 3 hrs away it was so bad trying to sleep on the bus. When we got there we were stranded at the station everyone was obviously sleeping and we were pretty beat so, thank goodness i had family there and called my cousin. Went to my uncle’s house and stayed there.
We didn’t really go anywhere except for the mall and than went to a bar it was my first time and i got in with a fake id . It was a latin bar it wasnt really what we were expecting and plus it was funny because 2hrs later we get kicked out of the bar ha! what a night and ended up going with some random spanish guys.. we started fighting with each other ( the 3 friends + 1 who came later on )which made the guys think we were crazy and wanted us out of their house LOL . But in the end i made a friend with a guy who came to visit i guess to see if we were really “loco bitches”. He was wonderful because we had lost the address we were suppose to go to after we were done partying so he was on board to help us in anyway possible. We drove for 6hrs all over calgary trying to find this address i got from a phone directory which was wrong until we got a hold of someone . We even seen an actual crack house which the guy took us to lol thought we would actually sleep there but we were really freaked out by the people the dog everything in that house. We got to the birthday girl’s cousins house at 9 am . Lucky for them they went to sleep but i had a dilemma because my dad had found out i left for Calgary through my friend’s mom. So i ran to my cousin’s house where she was pissed off at me. Btw i didnt get into that much trouble i came 2 days later and my friends went back that day and ditched me didn’t even call to see if i was ok considering i had to leave while they were a sleep i had no money to come back on the greyhound i was really ticked and also my friend who ratted me out when she got back to Edmonton decides that her and her mom should attack my dad for no apparent reason and call me a whore . It was 6 months before i started talking to any of them. I personally could never go on a roadtrip with those people again but i would love to go on a trip with friends and with blessings from my parents. Calgary

Not many friends at the moment, but when I find more, I’ll have people for my long awaited roadtrip.
it might happen soon! I think I could talk a few people into it…we’ll have to discuss where we want to go and all that fun stuff…yay for summer!
Just after the Fourth of July, my best friend and I headed out from Austin and lit out west, ending up in San Francisco by way of New Mexico, Arizona and LA.
We met up with a mutual friend and stayed at his place for a few days, then the three of us drove up to Portland and then Seattle.
After dropping off our third in SF, the two of us went back east through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado, where we spent a few nights in Denver sleeping through the day and soaking up their crazy public art.
From there, I dropped my friend off in Dallas and after a couple of days worth of hiatus, we drove out to New Orleans and spent 48 hrs there in the first week of August. As it turns out, just before it was devastated by Katrina.
Two of my friends and I have been planning to do this our senior summer as a major bonding expirence before leaving for college. I hope we get to do it, it sounds like a thing that would involve the creation of lots of stories and inside jokes and memories we could keep forever.
