P.S. I almost got kicked out of the art museum. My mom called while I was in the exhibit, and the woman came over and was telling me to turn off my phone, so I was trying to ask her (in a whisper) where I could go because if I didn’t talk to my mom she was going to worry, and the woman told me I was being very noisy and that she was going to call security. When she finally stopped to listen she told me I could go and talk on the stairs, so I went and afterwards I made sure that I turned it off in direct view of her. It was so weird because I was trying to be really respectful and I was keeping my voice really low, but she was having none of it. She was really rude, but I didn’t let that ruin my trip to the art museum.
It was awesome! My mom took me for Christmas, and we had a great time! We went to see Wicked, which was sooo cool, it’s been forever since I’ve seen a musical. We took the trolley tour of the city, and we stopped at the planetarium which I loved. We stayed in Hotel 71 which is right in the middle of all the humongous buildings in downtown, right next to the theatre district. Anyways, it’s only a 5 1/2 hour drive from Cleveland so we’ve decided to go again soon, and to make it a regular thing. The only thing I didn’t like was that everything seemed so expensive. I only bought 1 pack of cigerettes while I was there, and they were almost $9! I couldn’t live there and smoke. But then again I don’t really need to be smoking in the first place.
I go about every two years to see my family. Usually we just stay around the house and around the neighborhood, but even the weather there is marvelous (at least for someone who’s used to the humidity in Florida). We do go to the city and to the museums and the Sears Tower and all of that… and that’s definitely worth doing. Don’t miss Navy Pier either!
yakuza who has missed me?
I have always had a great time in Chicago. It wasn’t as windy as I thought it would be, and it was so clean, I couldn’t believe it.
