No one in my family has ever even thought about graduate school, most of them didn’t even go to college. I want to pick a masters program that will allow me to be a college professor since I love the academic life but the hard part is choosing the courses I want to take. There is this great program in New York but I just don’t know if I want to live in New York for 2 years. I’ve also contemplated religious or philosophical studies, or humanities. Now I just have to make up my mind, the hardest decision ever.
Instead of watching my favorite Sat. programming, I stayed up and scanned the programs/ Universities of interest. Decided the Psy.D is not for me… The M.A. in Couseling Psychology is my choice.
going to graduate school has never been debated in my family. my dad has a masters degree, and he has been encouraging (nee, influencing) me since high school.
i have the option of going local or international, and i’ve decided to try my hand at US and Australian schools. the problem is that while i have some ideas on what to take up, i simply cannot choose. so far, i’ve got five degrees on my list: journalism, asian studies, peace studies, philippine studies, and communication research.
i was never much for academics, so i doubt if i have a shot at the more prestigious universities. i feel very confused and hapless and…screwed.
help.
