because I feel I only kind of did it. But I’m not going to be at work for a few months so I’m not going to leave it on my list. I do think overall I did get better but the last days were hard with celebratory treats. Also I started drinking coffee more and always put a lot of creamer and sugar or just fake-o creamer in it. I may take this up again later.

This has not been going well. Like today, I ate two powdered sugar donuts (the small kind, but I still ate them), a mini blueberry muffin, and a chocolate chip cookie – as well as two Girl Scout cookies!!! But I gave away my GS cookies so they will go away as a temptation. I was aware when I looked at that chocolate chip cookie, but they are my favorite, so I figured I might as well really blow it. A colleague says “You deserve it!” I said, “Yea, I might not have been so worth it when I weigh 350 pounds!”

helps with this. It’s going pretty well and I’m starting to feel annoyed rather than happy when I see a treat, because I know I’m terrible at resisting.

even though I was hungry. They are those soft kind that hurt your teeth because they are so sweet. Sorry if you love them. I felt good for skipping them.

but this week was conferences, when everyone brings treats (some worth it, some not). So while I ate a lot of treats, I tried to eat only ones that were really worth it! ;)

I bought these items to help curb my grazing. Hopefully if I eat one or the other around 9:30 it will help me get through to lunch and I won’t go looking for cookies, etc.

I even gave away some of my personal candy stash. Couldn’t bring myself to get rid of my hot chocolate mix, though . . . :) Need to grocery shop and buy those healthy snacks.

to eat at work. Some of it is worth it, and some of it is not. For example, one of the K-1 teachers is an excellent cook and when she brings something to work, it must be sampled. But to drink leftover kid cartons of chocolate milk or eat one of the millions of peppermints that seem to be around is not really worth it, as far as the pleasure-to-calories ratio. So I’m going to work on being mindful about this. I’m only going to eat treats that are really worth it and not fill up on other crap.
I may need to bring a healthy kind of snack to stash in my desk because I do get hungry mid-morning and that’s precisely when I have prep, and thus, time to go on the hunt.
