Made the original hummus from the recipe in a recent Oprah magazine. The article has many different varieties of hummus and I plan to try them all to make good on this goal. Today’s original has one clove of garlic and a nice balanced taste of other flavors. Very yummy. And a good place to start. 2 years ago
....and document the ingredients so that I can replicate it!! Its tricky because I have some garlic haters in the family, so I want to perfect a yummy garlic-free variety and a yummy traditional variety. My first batch had too much tahini and reminded us a bit of peanut butter. Very bland. Tonight I added roasted red pepper and a little red onion and a squirt of lemon. Much better. Will serve it tomorrow at our 4th get together and get some more feedback. (Luckily my family is used to helping me perfect things and they don’t mind being frank with the feedback!!) 2 years ago
