A girlfriend made a purchase 12 months ago

One of my girlfriends here in town saw my nursing bracelet on one of my blogs and decided she wanted one. Yay!

Took a couple by a local maternity store today 14 months ago

I was up until 2 AM this morning, making an instruction guide on how to use the breastfeeding bracelet and making business cards. The proprietor/owner of the store wasn’t there, which was really disappointing. The gal who was there said she’d display my instructions and business cards, but didn’t want to display my bracelets, in case they get stolen. Crap. The bracelets themselves are what will get them sold, if anything. They’re sharp pieces of jewelry that any woman (not necessary just moms that are nursing or women of little babies) may enjoy wearing. Oh well, what can I do about it?

    I've made a couple of different ones . . . 14 months ago

I’ve made two different nursing bracelets. I’ve got to write up instructions on how to use it and make some business cards. Then, I will take them to a local maternity store, where the proprietor has agreed to let me display or sell them. Hope it goes well.

Purchased material to make a second prototype 17 months ago

I really like the first prototype I’ve made for a potential nursing bracelet. Looks also like a sheek piece of jewelry any lady, mother or not, might desire wearing. Am in fact sporting the bracelet as I type. Need to figure out a good way to capture the beauty of the bracelet on camera. Love photography, but haven’t mastered the art of photographing a little item, like a bracelet, in all its glory. Any suggestions? I don’t have a macro lens, and I don’t have access to a studio.

Anyways, yesterday, I purchased a number of items necessary for making this second prototype: open jump rings, some beads, crimp tubes, toggle clasps, trigger clasps, soft flex wire, and headpins. Still need to get some other kinds of beads. But, soon, I shall be ready to construct my second prototype!

For nursing moms 17 months ago

I nursed my firstborn until 14 or 15 months of age. I only stopped because I’m pregnant. Don’t want to tandem nurse and don’t want our daughter to associate weaning with the coming of a new baby.

Anyways, nursing moms have a difficult time remembering when they last nursed and on which side. There are already nursing bracelets out there on the market, but the ones I’ve seen and the one I purchased is functional but hideous looking. I’ve designed one that’s functional and sheek! I’d like to see whether there’s a market out there for my nursing bracelet (loved making the first prototype) and we sure could use some spare change on the side.
