I didn’t plant bulbs in the fall, so I will have to grow the tulips next spring. For now, I have the above flowers to make me smile.
How to grow tulips
"I love tulips, and it was cheerful to have them all blooming on the back porch. I smiled every time I walked past the back door."
How I did it: I brought back bulbs from Holland in August, kept them in the basement until winter, and planted them in large clay pots in the basement. I brought them outside in March and they all bloomed except one that got knocked over by my 4-year-old (lol)!
Lessons & tips: Don't water them too much. They are pretty hard to kill, apparently. :o)
