How I did it: I got a part time job, and since then I had worked quite a lot through 3 summers and occasionally through the winter. I only spend some of my money so my bank balance is slowly growing. I plan to continue to save up so I can pay for most of my university fees without having to take out too much student loan. After earning money it is nice to have the money there, it is very reasuring and good to be able to afford going shopping or to… Read how I did it…

I definitely need to earn money. Not only in order to have it, but to see what it is like to work for your money.
I don’t get that much pocket money, but I get – or rather got – along just fine. Now that I get older, I definitely notice the increase in my expenses.
=> I need more money. I need a part-time job.
The next logical step would be to look for one, but I am just too lazy. (Written down this sounds even more pathetic x.x)
Fortunately, my great cousin called and asked I would help her out and be a tupperware-consultant. I mean… I love Tupperware, I love to cook with it, but other than this… this job ist MOST unsuitable for me: I have to talk to strangers and organize myself very disciplined.
Maybe that’s why I accepted. To learn these skills… (and 24% commission doesn’t sound bad either.)
We’ll see how it works out. Can’t wait to mark this goal achieved when I get the first payment!
YEAH. I need money basically. Because I want alot of things I can’t afford. Some would say that this is very materialistic, but I don’t really care. I mean-I want to go out, I want to have nice clothes and I want to be able to feed myself.
Okay, not that my parents don’t feed me,but you know what I mean.
So yeah..now I’ve just got to figure out a way..Baby-sitting? But I don’t know anyone with children.Newspaper Round? Scared of dogs. I s’pose I’ll just have to hunt around till I find some old lady who’s prepared to pay me to clean her feet or something…
My husband lost his job at the beginning of Dec ‘08 and I lost my job the day after Christmas of ‘08. My husband has just recently went back to driving cabs for a living and I am on unemployment and that is going to run out soon, and I have been lookin for employment to no avail. We are both on our last semester of college for a double BA. We hope to use them soon after we graduate. We are barely making ends meet with just our essentials (rent, power, food, gas) We are struggling just to meet those, and have not been able to meet our other obligations(debts). We rent our home, but one day I would love to own the home we are currently in. We have no kids at home, and it is just the 2 of us, trying to make it in this trying time. I would just like to be able to have a cushion of about 3 months funds in our savings account so we can move forward. We are everyday people who are trying to survive. Please help if you are able. Thank you and God Bless.

Babysat last night so that’s something But I’m thinking this wont be completed until the summer when I get myself a job!
I have been working as an online English tutor. My students are Japanese who mostly are already working or have plans to go abroad for business and vacation.
It was difficult at first because I had to adjust my schedule to accommodate lesson hours. Afterwards, I start to enjoy every lesson because I also get to learn something new which my students share with me. It’s also a nice experience to talk to a total stranger and as time goes by, friendly ties have been made and are being made stronger.
I kept taking chances at business but one thing’s for sure: you have to dedicated your full time, attention and effort in your business. Unfortunately, I don’t have those things right now. My previous businesses have been working very well for me until I would have to do another much important thing, study. Or until something bad happens. Like an equipment fails or supplies run out. I guess I just have to remember all of these experiences and learn the most from it. I have so many ideas in mind but time’s just not enough!
Don’t be afraid to risk and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
