    Lack of focus and motivation .. 2 months ago

    So I’ve been in my new role now for around seven months and the pressure is rapidly increasing although I am finding it very difficult to balance. For example one week I will do 3×17 hr + 2×12hr days with solid and unwavering focus. Today I have probably done a total of 2 hours work and I will be leaving in 2 hours. I’ve been in the office .. but a little distracted.(Exhibit A … updating 43T at work!!) This is an extreme for me and totally out of character. Maybe it has something to do with quitting smoking.
    I am going to try excercising tomorrow morning .. that usually gives me a little more bounce during the day. I will be able to pack more into say a 10 hour day and try to keep it at that.

    Winding down rapidly! 10 months ago

    I’ll be starting a new role in a different division September 29 (and am VERY excited about it!) so I will have a great oppertunity to start afresh and be as balanced as I can be. I can’t really work on this goal because I’m winding down in my old role—and training my replacement. I am adamant that I am not going to fall into my same old habits come Sept 29th!

    01:19 and still working .. 14 months ago

    I woke up in a state this morning at 04:15 because I remembered a report that had to be mailed Friday afternoon … I worked on it until around 07:00, napped for two hours then headed into the office. It’s now 01:19 and I’ve been pouring over my laptop for around four hours now. Not cool.. GO TO BED, Keps!
