This is a really great way to show your support for the LGBT community. It’s a Facebook event where on April 15th (Day of Silence), we all will change our profile pictures to something that represents gay pride. It’s a simple act that can go a long way to showing support. Please join and invite your friends too! 2 years ago

Just speak up when people become jerks about it. Protests and marches and prides are all useful but what’s really important in fighting for any cause is going for it at all times, not just some special occasion. Just confront people about it, homophobia is simply one of the most idiotic things ever and most people that are not fundamentalist idiots will just get that it’s not ok to be a jerk on this level. At the very least they won’t do it around you.
Oh, and break people’s balls about it. It’s NOT ok to talk that kind of shit. Make a point of it. 5 years ago

Actually easier said than done, especially since I just started learning how to be comfortable with it in public. It felt weird at first and I was honestly a bit afraid, but it has gotten better. Deep down there’s still some fear of retribution, but this is the first step, if I want to get real about this somehow. I can’t be uncomfortable with it in the first place and join the fight at the same time… 6 years ago

I don’t make gay jokes, and attempt to understand the homosexual community in a less stereotypical way. I’m also trying it out for myself! I think I’m attracted more to the ‘twink’ gay male… body type thing. The more effeminate the better. 7 years ago
