It doesn’t sound as if I celebrated Pancake day correctly, but I enjoyed it anyway. I made whole grain cinnamon cakes topped with warm apple compote. Delicious and warming on this 5 degree F, -15 degree C morning.

I wonder if there’s such a thing as a BM Pancake. I think the orangey tones and alcohol would be just the thing on a pancake.
BTW how international is pancake day? Who else celebrates?

in my life I’ve been aware of the custom of making pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. The idea suits my temperament better than the craziness of American Mardi Gras, and, since I adore pancakes anyway, I am all in for this!
