Here as we draw near to the end of 2008, was it a pivotal year?

The New Year is my favorite celebration. To me it is a time to reflect. How did I do this year? Did I follow through with what I said I would? Could I have done better? How? What were my major accomplishments? How much more did I do that I never imagined or planned? What about all of those things?

Pat myself on the back a few times.

Well, then what am I going to do with those results for the next year? What do I want to do? Where do I want to go? In what direction do I want my path to take me?

I then create that new list to move forward to a new wonder of a year.

I am pretty much done with the list of this year. I did not accomplish everything that I wanted to accomplish but some of the things that I did do, were amazing, phenomenal and life changing. Even though this economy is not looking so great, my job is not the most secure and we are heading inot some rough times, I feel optimistic and positive about my life.

    Things will be okay.

finishing this class. 8 months ago

It has been rough trying to attend class on wednesday nights. I am exhausted and have a lot of pressure to finish homework and reading during the days that I am working. As much as I have loved this class, I am feeling a little overwhelmed. I look forward to a break. I look forward to Dec 10 and the end of class.

things that have helped 8 months ago

I am so glad that I was able to use a life coach again this year. She helped with a lot of things.I talk to her every three weeks or so.
I am thrilled that IBM offers a great program for mental health and I can see a therapist for only $15 a week. I have burdened my friends and family less with my complaining about Gary and other annoyances.

I am thrilled that I have been able to use the IBM Moneys Smart program and get freee financial advice. They are currently helping me use my budget more effectively and chose the right insurance for me and my family, how to make the right taxes choices and offer retirement planning advice.

They have also offered me a great book club for mentoring and a womens interest network group to help me grow as a person.

I also have access to a weight loss coahc adn computer program to motivate me inthat area as well.

It feels like everything is covered. I am thinking about making another bulletin board like my Clean sweep board but this one concentrates more on life management.

I just need to be a little more motivated. OI find that I don’t allow myself to have a lot of fun. I don’t know how to play very well. I think that if I was a litte more motivated with all the things I did that once they were completed I would allow myself more time to have fun.

four of the twelve goals I have listed here will be completed by the end of 2008 and some of the ones that I have already checked off were monumental so I am on my way to completing this one as well.

    Yah!

I think that is why I love the New Year so much. It is my time to reflect on all that I hvae done in the past year and make new plans for the coming year. Some are big and some are little but they always make me feel accomplished when all is said and done. This is a great year so far.

so I got my mototrcycle license this past weekend. That was one of the things that would make this year a pivotal year. I also have a court date this week for my bankruptcy and that should take care of another issue. I am now going to work on the “Body for Life ” program.

I thought this would be a good spot to do a progress report on my goals:

Share Random (and not so random) thoughts from time to time.: This one will be a permanent goal, as many times I have random, and not so random thoughts to share.

Promote Nudism: This will also be a permanent goal. I haven’t thought of many enteries for this one lately, but it’s definitely something I want to continue.

Promote Body Acceptance: I want to continue spreading the message on this one, so again, another permanent goal.

Support The Right Of Women To Go Topless Wherever Men Are Also Allowed To Do So: Another goal where I haven’t thought of many enteries for lately, but another permanent goal, because I want to continue to spread the message.

Make Love Outdoors: I will definitely do this one, and I’m pretty sure I’ll want to do this more than once, but I’m waiting for warmer weather for this one.

Be More Green: I try to be green, I’m not sure yet to what extent I’ll be green enough, to mark this one done.

Organize My Photos!!!!!: This one I should hopefully complete pretty soon. I have more photos to put into albums, and sort out, and then I want to scan a bunch of them, and put them on Flickr.

B.S. About The Green Bay Packers: This one will be running during the football season, and as needed (like now with the upcoming draft.)

Share Gratitudes Now And Then: This will be another permanent goal.

Finally Get Around To Doing Some Sketches: This one I’ve really been procrastinating on big time. But I hope to get some done, and after I do maybe about 40 of these, I’ll mark the goal done. (or maybe 43.)

Submit Photos To Flickr And Just Go Wild With The Whole Thing: This one I have a long ways to go on. Lots of projects yet to complete.

drop 43 pennies in random places so that people can find them and feel lucky: There is a lot more to do on this one, without looking I think I’ve done 11 so far, and I think the last one was last fall. As the weather gets warmer, I’ll work on this one some more.

Take Photos That Celebrate My Soulmate’s Beauty: I still have much more to do on this one, before I will be satisfied enough to say that I’ve completed it.

attract good karma.: There is something I’m looking to feel before I can call this done. I don’t know what it is, I guess I’ll know when I feel it.

Have monthly date with my soulmate: After I’ve done this for about year then I think I can mark this as done.

be able to click a song that sweeps me away.: I love this goal. This one will be permanent.

The Continuing Adventures of Theodore And Jumper: I will continue this from time-to-time.

Shamelessly ask my 43 friends to help support and sponsor Segsy in the 2008 Take Steps for Crohn’s and Colitis Walk: I’m going to keep this up until June when the walk takes place.

make 2008 a pivotal year: At the end of the year this goal will be done.

A History Of How States Voted In The American Presidential Election: I’m more than half way done with this. This will be completed sooner rather than later.

Meditate More: Plenty more to do on this one.

Poetry Or Prose: This one is definitely a keeper. This one keeps me sane. When I need an outlet to express myself, I’m thankful I came up with this one.

Write About My Life From Time To Time: This one I will come to, now and then, and I believe this will be a permanent goal as well.

Give me what you’ve got! (within reason of course!): I’ll keep this one up awhile longer, even though I haven’t gotten a whole lot of responses to it.

Cheerbomb Aaron J when he FINALLY gets a car!: ‘ya know…. I’ve been waiting and AFAIK, still no car for Aaron. I think Aaron is a good bloke, but I can’t help but think of the economy and the environment, when cars come to mind.

Remember To Scan Crane Photos For Caiti: I have not forgotten. When I find them, I will definitely do it.

The One Hour Plan: I will be invoking this one again in the not too distant future. This has worked well for me.

    • Every once in awhile set a day aside for looking at flickr photos: I will do this sometime.

Every once in awhile set a day aside for looking at youtube music clips.: Someday I will do this as well.

Meet a 43T’er in person: No plans at the moment, but I’d definitely like to do this someday. I can think of probably a half a dozen or so 43T’ers that I’d like to meet in person.

share in an 43 thing “dinner club” and spend crazy days and zany nights taking turn making dinner and sharing recipe: Getting into this one sporadically.

Improve my sleep schedule: Doing the best that I can.

Cut down on caffeine: Needs more work, and the goal remains…..

Confessions: I’m not sure how long I’ll keep this one up.

Post a poem a day to celebrate poetry month: Pretty self-explanatory.

Diet and Exercise: Ongoing at the moment.

Get down to 175 pounds: Babystepping this one, more goals to follow.

Work on my church’s website at least once a week*: If I stay consistent for a month, I’ll mark this one done.

well it is looking good 15 months ago

I wish I had not deleted some of my previous goals because so mnay of them are coming to pass. I wonder if I kinda put it out there and life brought it to me. I think so.

I had deleted the goal of finding my brother who was put up for adoption and here it is that we found him.

I had deleted quiting my second job and I have left for a long term leave of absence.

I had deleted the goal of buying a Zune and I just got one.

I had deleted quite a few goals that seemed to have come back into focus and had to add them to my list again because I realized that they were now going to happen anyway, like claim bankruptcy, learn to ride a motorcycle, fly a kite. That is a good thing.

So I see that 2008 is inevitably going to be a better year. I see a lot of changes and a lot of goals that will be accomplished this year. I am very optimistic about how this year will end.

Am I the only one who feels this way? 16 months ago

I think I’m amazing, but I’m not amazing enough, like I could really be a lot more amazing , and I have yet to reach the pinnacle of my amazement. Does anyone else ever feel that way, or am I alone on that one?
