How to learn to save my money
How I did it: When I would get paid I would end up putting almost all of it into a savings and leaving a little for weekly use, so i was still able to go out and not deprive myself completely from using money.
Lessons & tips: self control when it comes to spending! realize you don't really NEED something you may just WANT.
Resources: Savings account.

Its October… I will be officially out of debt with my parents on Nov. 23rd, 2009 :) and I will have all the credit card paid off by New Years Eve! What a great way to start the new year ;) But the best news is that in 3 1/2 months I will be moving into my own apartment with a reliable friend. Who knew that by being in debt would help me become better in worldly things!
Alright. I am in debt. I am 18 years old and already owe my parents $1,000.00 (gas, insurance, etc) and have charged up to $900 on their credt card (this was for school and bills not shopping or anything!) I haven’t had a job for almost 5 months…. and I just got one!!!!! YAY! I have already calculated all my debt and how I am going to make payments on them~ If everything works out i will be out of debt and have $1,300 saved by january!
so my plan is this —-> 50% goes to savings…. 40% bills and 10% tithing…

I haven’t saved a penny of my money so far… So I am going to try now. I hope to get my first $1000 as soon as possible. As soon as I start growing my shrooms and pay my car insurance, I am going to save every penny.

I am getting farther and farther away from this goal… Once I get financially stable… that is do the things that I want to get done, the major things… Then I will start saving little bits of money here and there into a savings account. When I aquire lets say… $2000, I will call this goal completed. That is, $1000 that I am not willing to spend, and it is there to stay in my savings account.

I started a new job, and so far I have grossed about $3000, but I have nothing to show for it. I really don’t have any bills besides insurance, gas, and a cell phone, but I can’t seem to use that leftover money towards something I really need. So as soon as I can save over $2000, I believe that I have completed this goal.
