Actually all of first quarter this year was very “lean” so doing the sales entries for February went quickly.

I finished Jan 2008 sales entries. I was waiting for our accountant to send us the adjusted year-end file from 2007; once I start 2008 entries 2007 is frozen in the computer and you cannot adjust anything. Turns out we didn’t have any adjustments; we got all our 2007 entries done correctly this time! So that part is good! I will get caught back up on this quickly.
Paco and I finished up the last reconciliations and sent the Green Acres 2007 year-end file to our accountant! We’ve got all the other tax documents we need as well and I’ve tallied the other itemized deductions on separate worksheets – so we’re good!!
I just finished the sales/excise tax paperwork for q4 of 2007. Paco got all the expenses done for 2007. We have a tiny bit of reconciliation to do which I think will take a few hours. Then we are done & can send our file off to the accountant. woo hoo!
and Paco is done with expenses through July! We will get the year-end file to the accountant early this time! Woo hoo!
It was snowing this morning and for breakfast I had a large cup of Mangalam estate Assam and some of the cookies I baked yesterday. After that all I wanted to do was finish Alexander McCall Smith’s “The Right Attitude To Rain” – so I am proud of myself that I rallied this afternoon and got this done! To be honest the volume of sales receipts for November is smallish compared to the booming summer months. Nevertheless, November sales are done!
It took less than an hour to get all the sales entries for October completed last night! Yay! Max was watching the Ratatouille DVD so even though I got distracted often I was still able to crank this out!
and it took about half the amount of time – as my husband is doing his checking deposits differently to help me out! It was SO nice to have all the “prep” work done already so all I had to do was the entry part! woo hoo!
Somehow time expanded today and I got a lot accomplished – including doing the data entries for the August sales receipts! And there was still time to sit outside on the porch swing with my husband and play with our son on the improvised see-saw.
I have all the prep work for the August sales receipts done. Next is the data entry part. My husband figured out a way to incorporate the prep-stuff I need done into his “deposit system”! So for September his first deposit already has this “prep” part completed! Once data-entry for August is finished – September will be much faster!
