I hope to be able to at some point this year.
How to be able to run 5 miles
How I did it: Cross Country, freshman year of high school. Yes, it was hard as hell that first time. But we ran every single day, and it got easier every time I showed up to practice. I ran cross country for three wonderful years. That last time I ran, I was so sad. But, I was hurt, I couldn't run anymore. I'd pushed myself too far, really. I still can't run, two years later. But I'm hoping to get back into it soon

went around the block again. had to stop about 3/4 of the way through to run in place and kind of catch my breath. hopefully will go all the way tomorrow.
ran .5 miles without stopping. well, i stopped once to pick up dog poop cringes i’m going to keep at .5 miles for another 2 days, then i’ll up it to 1 mile and see what happens :)
Even when I was in the best shape of my life, I was never a good runner. I was lucky if I could make it around the track once. I want to change that, and I’m not 100% sure what the best way to do that is… but…. I ran around the block today. It’s .5 miles. I couldn’t do it without stopping. It’s disheartening and I feel like it shouldn’t be that difficult. I guess the only thing to do right now is just keep plugging along.
