..but really I turned out to be a bit of a Plath. I think I need to start living the poetry that is in world a bit more. :-)

I wish I was an orchestra or a canvas and colour…
Feels like I’ve actually relocated the poetry in my soul and now it’s looking for a way out. And sometimes I’d like it to be more immediate than the abstract work with words…
How INFPish of me :)

I guess an essential quality of poetry is its highly stylised form. Living poetry would accordingly require a substantial degree of self-consciousness.
Or is this all about intensity and letting all the raw feelings out in any form they may take?

Basil, my dear boy, puts everything that is charming in him into his work. The consequence is that he has nothing left for his life but his prejudices, his principles, and his commonsense. The only artists I have ever known, who are personally delightful, are bad artists. Good artists exist simply in what they make, and consequently are perfectly uninteresting in what they are. A great poet, a really great poet, is the most unpoetical of creatures.
