I have watched the new one and the BBC version they were both awesome, I would go see them again, and again!
The film wasn’t bad at all but if you really want to “see” ‘The lion, the witch and the wardrobe’ then you need to see the Royal Shakespeare company’s performance of it. I went for my birthday a few years ago and there’s nothing like a live show.
it was good but they took stuff from more then just the loin the witch and thw wordrobe
BrightShadow is making and repairing some jewelry
that was so SO good! I love the music… and Aslan… and the pheonix! SOooooo kul! I keep listening to the soundtrack. :-)
i wouldn’t recommend this movie at all. very long, full of those horrible “dramatical pauses”, and not captivating. For me it laked that special spark. I think the kids will like it, if they will tolearate it’s length. I was definatly squirming in my seat at the movies, and at one point nearly fell asleep. Not a good sign. It was very true to the original, but just no spark there.
A Well-Read Dog Head is standing right behind you
Am I alone in feeling like something really unpleasant was going to happen to Lucy when she was with Faun Tumnus near the beginning of the film? He really gave me the creeps. The boy needs a shirt, for one.
My sister, her boyfriend, and I went to the opening midnight showing at our local theater. It was a blast and I enjoyed the movie. You can read my review here if you like (no major spoilers).
The story was all good, the characters played quite well (especially the little girl, methinks), and the magic was there (mythology all around, beautiful world and nature, ultra-realistic characters, especially Aslan).
SPOILERS below!
But when Aslan comes back to life on the Stone Table, his mane is all furry and beautiful again—Hello! This horrible gremlin just cut it off the night before!
Also, maybe didn’t Santa Claus belong there… “Ho! Ho! Ho! Hello children, have you been all nice? Good! Here come the weapons!”
But all in all, it was a nice time, and the music is just magnificent.
