Listen to Xiu Xiu's cover of "All We Ever Wanted Was Everything" but not before I've covered it myself.

So I’ve never learned a full song on a guitar, despite owning a guitar for six or so years and playing in a band for about two. In conjunction with me wanting to record a song, I’ve decided that the first that I’ll do will be a cover of Bauhaus’s “All We Ever Wanted Was Everything”. I’ve begun interpreting the song into my own piece of art, and in the process found out that Xiu Xiu covered this song. I’m a big Xiu Xiu fan, and I’d say that they are (or will be, I guess) a big influence in the music I make (or will make). Because they are so influential to me, I don’t want to listen to their cover of the song until I’ve done my cover. Which gives me all the more incentive to finish this goal. I’m very excited to hear the cover, because the only other Xiu Xiu cover I’ve ever heard is Joy Division/New Order’s “Ceremony” and it absolutely one of my favorite songs. Both the cover and the original. Ooh I’m excited.
