(What is RSS?)Had dinner with some friends and they asked me to say the blessing. Usually, I balk at that because I’m not comfortable praying out loud and especially with people I don’t know very well.
It was ok though.
Went to a boardgame meetup. At first it was pretty awful as I got there late and when I tried to sit with some people I was pretty much brushed off and told to go to the table on the end. Only problem was we were in a public place and I had no idea which of the tables were game players since everyone was eating dinner.
I ended up at a table by myself, basically embarrassed and pouting. But, luckily, the folks next to me were game players too and I ended up getting to play games with them.
Played Apples to Apples, Pit and Boggle.
In the end, I had a good time and I’m glad I went. Almost all the folks were around my age and were professional people. Much better than hanging out meeting people in bars.
Will do it again.
Went with a friend to drink Boba. There were so many flavors it was hard to choose, so I just had the worker’s favorite which was some kind of rasberry drink with honey.
Boba is a drink with tapioca balls in it. They are gummy and a bit on the slimy side, but not to bad. You drink it with a wide straw so the balls will get sucked up through it.
Very interesting, and, I’d probably do it again…
Worked as a food sorter and stocker.
Worked pretty dang hard as I was the only one in that part of the building. There’s normally 3 people working that section but for whatever reason, they weren’t there this week.
Feel really good about my choice of ways to be involved in the community.
Also, have been giving out backpacks to students in our city. My group has put together and given out 35 of them so far. Pretty exciting stuff. Happy about the way my life is going right now. Feel like I’m engaged in the world instead of sitting behind a damn computer screen all day bossing around people who don’t want to be bossed around.
I thought it would rock about more in the water, but it didn’t.
Slept in a triangle shaped bed up in the prow.

been working in clay for the first time since elementary school. today things seemed to just click and how to work with clay actually made sense. Think it was because i turned my brain off and let my intuition take over. was happy with my project by the end of the day. tomorrow, going to go in and finish up the body.
Spoke at my aunt’s memorial service this last weekend. It was the right thing and it was good.
for a retreat with people that were basically strangers.
It was a blast!
Been hanging around this group of church folks. Decided to watch the service on the internet. That was weird…
