be in a dance crew

Before the winter break, my club had an event where we had 2 guest instructors teach lessons. One was a professor and one was a student who’s been on so you think you can dance. HUGE success! I’m a little scared. Yes, success is SCARY.

As I am thinking of choreo, I realized that I have been limiting my style. SOOOO many effin’ ways to dance hip hop, its unbelieveable. I want to be eclectic. I’m really getting into dutty wine styles and indian bollywood styles. But I am still really fascinated by the tranny vogue thing and the lyrical voguing thing.

So, I’ve got 5 people who would like to start a dance crew come next semester. Let’s see how it goes. In the mean time, I’m practicing my moves. I don’t want to copy my favourite crews from ABDC. Mainly, I get my insipiration from youtube. My favourite group that’s been on ABDC is Fanny Pak. Their choreography is the best I’ve ever seen on the show and its the kind that inspires me on youtube. I’m really glad they got on TV.

You know, like America’s Next Best Crew. I think I could dance that good if I practiced hard.
