There’s nothing unlucky about being born on the 13th. The alternative of not having been born would be the more unlucky event. This 43er is stuck away from home on her birthday awaiting visa renewal. While I don’t really know her all that well, MiamiSmartGirl knows her and thinks she’s very special. I trust MSG, so here are my birthday wishes for 2beSurfin for the coming year:

May her visa be renewed quickly, but while she’s waiting may she take the time to see some plays at the Old Globe. May her creative muses inspire her, particularly while writing haiku on Fridays. And may the right words always come to her so she says what she means and means what she says.

I hope it’s amazing, no matter where you are!
