Finish the necklaces for JKD and Ula.

Everytime I poured a eucalyptus leaf (fresh or dried) the oil from the leaf leaked out into the resin. I think it “disturbed” the process greatly. The pieces wouldn’t dry and then when they did, bubbles formed around the leaf!! None of the other fresh greens did this. But I have one good piece, a golden hue that I have for JKD. Mailed and on it’s way 2mrw. Whew, this was a huge test!

Here are 3 photos of the process, casting resin for J’s pendant. In a small square mold I embeded a eucalyptus leaf in two thin layers of CLEAR resin. I waited a week for this square to set and placed it in a rectangular mold. I centered it inside the mold and then mixed another small batch of resin with pigment. The square has a slight blue tint and the surrounding area is blue. The leaf looks good…it is dark in this photo but pretty green in person. Demolding pic and drilling and wire coming soon.
