Mum and dad were just over for a holiday of 3,5 weeks. they did not spend all the time in my house (that would have driven me nuts…) but we did went for a week travelling together. Route 66, the Grand Canyon, Navajoland, ... You could tell they loved being around! And in 4 weeks my sis comes over… for a week vacation with the baby :) And at Christmas, almost all of us get together in Austria…
Yes, we’re doing well now – making time for each other. And I feel so good about it :)

I’m considering moving back to Maryland, but in the meantime I should call my dad more often.

For Christmas time, I spent time with family and it felt good.
This is something that I want to continue doing but I can take off of my list.

These days busy schedules due to gradually increasing workloads leaves us with very little time to spend with your family on working days.
Specially if you have kids (1-15 yrs.), it becomes more important that you spend more time with them because they are growing day by day and learning some basic things each day.
Parent’s guidance is very important for them during this phase of their life as it builds their base.

This long week-end (Queen’s BDay) I decided that I should make the most of it and see as much people that I can and not spend one day home.
I saw my parents this week-end ans my sisters. I don’t see them often because I don’t make time. I’ll try to keep it up cuz family is really important.

I spent part of the weekend with my parents and with my aunt and uncle from Tennessee. haven’t seen them in a very long time (the aunt and uncle).
It was nice but very short. The area is so rural that there is not much to do but every time I go there, I come back with a vow to go visit more. They are only 6 hours away and I am so grateful to have them in my life. I think one of my “Things” is to be more grateful. If not, it should be. I have been very fortunate in my parents.

I’m leaving the UK after nine years. I’m moving into the unknown. Going to spend some time with my Mum and Dad in Brisbane, Australia (while I’m at it I’ll surf as much as possible – thereby accomplishing another goal). Then with my sister and Granddad in Christchurch New Zealand (while I’m at it I’ll snowboard as much as possible, hopefully do a season, as that’s been on my list a long time).
Then I’m heading to Nepal to trek and look after orphans whose parents are in prison (doing art therapy).
Then back to NZ for a months yoga with Donna Farhi.
Then who knows what I’ll do or where I’ll live.
