learn car mechanics

I’m tired of not knowing about cars.

I really want to learn the ins and outs of cars and engines, etc. What a useful skill to have, hey?!

I take pride in knowing that I’m probably one of the only girls who loves Louis Vuitton that could completely re-build a 454 engine. From custom to just basic automotive mechanics I have learned to do it all. At the age of 24 I own one of the busiest full service auto repair shops in the austin area. To all the girls, you have no idea the satisfaction you get when you can tell a guy anything he needs to know about his truck and whats wrong with it and most of all how much it’s going to run him for YOU to fix it. :)

my boyfriend is a car mechanic. and i want to be able to understand what he’s saying instead of just nodding thru every conversation about pistons.. and rims.. and exhaust manifolds…

If (and hopefully that’s not ‘when’) I break down again I would like to be able to look at the engine bay and say ”...ah! I can see what the problem is!”. And be able to fix it perhaps. It would be usefull to at least find out which bit does what and where.
