meet at least one online friend

I remember the very first time she contacted me, she saw a post I had written about ‘10 Things I Hate About You’ and needed to ask me a question about the movie I believe because she was reading the ‘Taming of the Shrew’ for school. That was 7 years ago, and I even went to see her in 2000, which I will forever cherish. She is a beautiful person and deserves everything she wants out of life. I would give anything to see her again.

I had an online friend that I’ve lost touch with a while back. We met sometime in 2000 through our blogs before we both got hosted at the same domain, and before we both grew up and got our own domains. When I took my site down about a year ago, we lost contact. So I thought that was that. Today, over at a job interview, I realised that she was one of my two interviewers. About fifteen minutes into it, she blurted out, “Omigod, I know you!” We burst into a fit of giggles, which completely spooked the other interviewer, her boss.

It’s an amazing thing, really. It’s so odd and wonderful at once to meet someone for the first time yet know so much about them. “What more can I interview you about?” she said, “I know all the answers to what I was planning to ask you!”

This is the highlight of my day.
