I am currently at $225.00. I have been so busy lately and haven’t been able to post in a while. Life has sped up a little and I have custody of my niece again. She is now going to school where I teach ~ a much better situation all the way around. I am kind of rethinking some things in my life and what is important. Truly important. This may affect my life list! :-) Look for changes, maybe?!

$140.00 towards this goal after tomorrow’s deposit. Slooooowly working towards the first $500.00. I would like to hand him a check on his birthday or for Christmas as an extra surprise!

I was able to set aside $53 dollars for this goal. Not much, but it’s a start and more than I had set aside before the challenge. The challenge has left me with some really good habits which I hope will help me with this goal as I continue on…

Hopefully next month will be easier!

Don’t know exactly where to put this money right now, but I have to start doing this or it will never get done.
He’s definately not going to want to take the money. I know how he is.
I only know that this is a must right now for me…

He is smart, loving, and so giving. He built our new house a year ago. He totally built it from the ground up himself, only contracting out the things he didn’t have a license for (electrical, etc.). He even did the plumbing and the cabinets. It is truly a beautiful home ~ two story, red brick ~ just what we always wanted.
He, however, has never had a new home and has worked so hard all of his life to provide for my mother and my sisters and I to have a wonderful childhood. He is almost 65 years old and is still working like he did when he was 25. I want to pay him back the final amount that we still owe him, which is around $4,000. He does not want to take it, because this is just the kind of person that he is. I will pay him back this money, though. He really needs it to put into retirement, which is not far away. The plan is to pay him back in increments of $500. I know he’ll have a hard time accepting it, but it is a must for me. My hubby has too much on his plate financially, so this has to be a priority for me. I don’t want him to have to shoulder this responsibility, as well.
I will start this next month….hopefully $100.00 at a time, which will be super slow. But, it is a start. I love and care about him too much to put this off any longer.
:-)
