get a lip ring

I want to get one really badly for some reason, although before I used to be totally against piercings it looks really good on lots of people :]

Im Joel, im 16 and in a metal band, being a vocalist in a metalband kinda requires the look so i thought wat the hell, suck it up and get snakes. surgical equipment and the overpowering smell of disinfectant really puts me off so i knew i was gunna puke or pass out regardless shut up little did i realise the first time id do both. the first time i got it done was easy as but. i got a really experienced piercer who had me in and out within 5 minutes. i can only describe the pain as a mild uncomfertable feeling. 2 weeks after i decided to get the other side, well moreso could afford to get it rather than decide. anyway i went to the same place but with a less experienced piercer. he marked the spot a total of 4 times coz he couldnt get the symmetry, by the end it looked like a smudge rather than a dot so i just wanted to get out. he did it, hit a vein, it hurt like hell, bled like crazy and swelled up. im now on a mission to get it redone tomoro, problem is they wont refund me. morale to the story, the piercing, totally worth it, they look amazing, are entertaining and really dont hurt if u get it done right. having said that, keep in mind some people really dont know wat ther doing, so if ur planning to get one, go nuts but if u want 2 make sure u get the same person, they will no how to do it, rather than screw you around, waste your time and money, and really give you a bad experience in something thats really alot of fun.

I’m 16 and i got my lip pierced two days ago, and it was so worth it!
It felt like a pinch when they did it…and my mouth didn’t swell and it wasn’t really that sore afterwards.
.....but i been rinsing my mouth with water because i don’t have mouthwash, does anybody know if thats ok?

I’ve always thought lip rings were freaking badass. :D

But my parents aren’t going for it.

I told them it’s better than a tattoo.

But my mum actually WANTS me to get a nose ring. :O

Anyways. I’m sure they’ll give up eventually. And I have rather nice lips, too, so I’m sure it’ll look beastly. :)

I really want to get a lip ring but im kinda young. 12 to be exact. I will be 13 in a month too.

haha lip rings totally turn me on, I’ve always wanted one. Do they scar badly after taking them out? I know I wouldn’t want to wear it when I’m older. I’ve also considered snake bites. Buttttt I don’t know, I just think they’re cute :p

At first, I was dead set on a nose stud, but I considered a few things:
-They hurt a lot
-I brought it up with my parents and they said they would kill me
-I already have the ring, it’s currently in my bellybutton piercing, all I need is the piercing.
I’ve got to save up for this and wait for my best friend to come back from Israel so she can squeeze my hand and all.

I never would have thought that I would get a lip ring! It was way too hardcore for me. Even though I got my nose pierced, that was actually not a big deal because it’s not obvious (most people don’t even notice!) But a lip ring? that’s kind of right there for everyone to see.
But once I decided to do it, there was no turning back. It doesn’t hurt, but I actually enjoy tattoos and piercings. It’s not even that sore—it looks like I got punched in the mouth and my lip is swollen, but it doesn’t hurt. If you’re thinking of doing it and you won’t lose your job, DO IT! You can always take it out if you don’t like it!

I’ve had the right side of my lip pierced for a year now and just got my left side done today. I wont lie to you the pain is enough to make your eyes water but it only hurts when it goes through the outer skin not your actual lip. It will swell, and possibly have some discoloration. But this goes away within the first few days. It is totally worth doing

I want one so bad. I just wish they didnt cost so much money. But i’d assume it would totally worth it. I dont even have my ears pierced…
