Thursday night: catch up with my reading in my hard book

I finished the remaining chapter today. I am all caught up! Feels good!

I read about 50 pages. Once I was able to focus in a quiet place it went a lot faster and I got more out of it. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can do the remaining 40 tonight. I’m tired; it would be pointless. But tomorrow evening or Monday I can still read and will still have caught up. I feel a little better about it now.

I had my drink but then there was a really loud, annoying person and then another loud, annoying person arrived and I realized all I was doing was concentrating on drowning out the annoying people so I left. Now I’m back at quiet home with its myriad distractions. I will do nothing other than read until I have at least given the chapters a dignified skimming. Must . . . stick . . . with . . .it . . .

and I spent the whole evening vegging and packing up eBay sales. Took me a lot longer than I thought (that’s the problem with reuse of packing materials . . . )

ANYWAY, I am going to go over to Cahoots right after switching out my laundry and spend three hours (until they close) reading this week’s reading and catching up.

Time is getting away from me. I should have KEPT up. But since I didn’t, I now have to CATCH up, and if I don’t now, I won’t ever. I might go to a coffee shop, or I might sit at home so my poor doggie isn’t alone ALL day. Regardless, Thursday will be the night when Rod Ellis and I have a cozy few hours together discussing all we could ever want to discuss about Task-Based Language Learning. And I can hope that Thursday night will be enough time. I am calling my boyfriend to let him know not to plan on me for Thursday night.
