stop getting wasted

I was able to make it through a weekend of camping with my drinking friends who have a biking problem without blacking out. I’m pretty stocked about that. I came prepared with a shot glass to measure how much I drank and tried to avoid people passing around bottles of booze as best I could.

Tonight, it appears as if the voters of the Puget Sound Region have fucked themselves over. We voted down a massive regional transportation package and approved a initiative requiring a supermajority (66%) to pass any new tax laws.

Basically our region is screwed if we ever want to pass any new transportation improvement projects EVER. I drank accordingly.

I’m too old for this kind of lifestyle. Drinking is fun but getting wasted is just un called for. I’m entering a new phase in my life where confidence and a self esteem are necessities and pulling shit like not being able to stand while at the cat power show is never going to get me anywhere and only make me feel worse. Life is good, it’s even good without booze. I’ve got to remember that.
