Carnival is coming up very fast for 2008, and we will not be there. We will need to start planning to be there in 2009.

and this is part of what I missed! Damn!, that looks so cool and SO MUCH FUN!

I really recomend it!!! I love Rio.. feel so confortable and nice… great carnival, lots of people in streets, total anarchy…

So, I have missed mardi-gras again this year. It slipped by without so much as a pancake this time around, let alone a trip to Brazil. Carnaval 2007 (February 17 – 20) will have to be the next aim I guess, plenty of time to work off the excess pounds in preparation for a trip to the body beautiful Copacabana beach!

It is an amazing experience that everyone should have sometime in their life. I can’t dance at all and even I was moving to the beats of the Samba Schools. Beautiful people, beautiful beaches and more caipirinhas than you can consume in a lifetime.

Stay in Ipanema, visit Copacabana, go to the block parties, meet a fica, and have the time of your life! Biggest party in the world; yet cleaner than Madris Gras in New Orleans. I highly recommend lesbian house parties also, um yeah and it will be easier for you if you don’t have a girlfriend.

and, if possible, make sure you’re part of it too! The drumming is incredible and so is the passion.
