My partner’s in Ghana since November. We spoke last week and he tells me the water’s been shut off for more than a week!
“No water to flush the toilet?” I asked (okay, screamed). “What are you drinking?” I questioned. And finally, “Isn’t this something for the United Nations to do something about?”
No good can come out of cutting off the water supply for days at a time with no notice. Wouldn’t it just shut down the economy?
Anyway, no longer do I want to visit. I will learn to speak Hausa though as we hang out around Ghanians all the time and I have no idea what they’re saying even after hearing it all the time over the past 8 years.
