participate in a Flugtag

The next USA Flugtag is in Tampa, Florida on July 16, 2008. I have to send my entry in by May 16.
I am trying to drum-up support from my friends and co-workers, but so far I have gotten no commitments. I don’t want to do it by myself … it would be so much more fun to do with a group of friends. Well see.

We competed in Flugtag in Chicago in 2003 in front of 70,000 people. It was really cool. We drove from Alabama – 13 hours. It was really worth all the effort. The Red Bull People were great & all the other teams were really supportive. Our “Craft” didn’t fly too well but it did better than some of the crazy ones. But we are going to get a chance to redeem ourselves-
We applied again this year & got accepted for the Baltimore Flugtag in October 06. We can’t wait, We’ve got our skit ready to go & are about to start building the “Craft”. If you’re in the area you’ve got to come out & watch it’s a hoot! The crowd gets to visit with all the teams do Look us up we are “Team Wet T-Shirt” – steve cummings

I applie and sent in my “flight plans” but wasn’t accepted. Oh well. Would’ve sucked up all my money and the chances of it flying were minimal. Probably for the best. I still plan on going out and seeing it though.
