move to North Carolina in 2009

With its relatively close proximity to all the eastern seaboard’s ‘hot’ (and cool) spots – NYC, the Outer Banks, and the Smoky mountains, to name a few – plus its gentle climate and high standard of living, we have decided to actively pursue a move to the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill region next year. Although we have previously traveled to the region, this summer we are taking an ‘exploratory’ trip to get a feeling for which areas we might like to settle in permanently.

Of course, I plan to spend a fair amount of time in South Carolina, perfecting a southern accent and learning the art of praline-making…;)
