Pet a cat

I adore cats but generally I prefer to stay at a distance and not interfere with their business, just as they prefer not to interfere with others’ (unless it is food or a rival). Still, it would be nice to try this out, but I always feel that any cat, especially given their understandably paranoid nature, will run away way before I even get near it (which is the rational thing to do when you see a creature much larger than you staring you in the eye and heading in your direction, I reckon). Perhaps I should try ‘bribing’ them with some food, but I never remember to have something at hand.

Cats aren’t allowed in the apartment complex that I live in. However, there are tons of cats roaming around outside. However, I fear that if I get too close to them, they’ll either run like they always do, or scratch me and give me some nasty infection or something. Guh. > <’

I have a cat at home, so this one was pretty easy to do :P.

I use to have absolutely terrible allergies, and I couldn’t even be in the same room as a cat, let alone pet one. But since starting my allergy shots about a year ago, I can pet animals again with little consequence! I highly recommend allergy shots to anyone who can’t pet cats but want to because of their allergies :P
