Planning a trip to Paris this August….
How to visit jim morrisons grave
How I did it: I took the train to Paris with a group of friends. We all love the intense poetry written by Jim. Sometimes you just have to follow an impulse and do it. So we did.
I can imagine if Paris is farther away than just 6 hours by train, that it takes a more elaborate plan, but the thing is: ask yourself the question: what holds you back?
If it's money, then make a plan and save some...set a date and promise yourself that you owe it to Jim. Combine it with a romantic holiday in Paris, walk in the beautiful streets near the Seine, enjoy the exquisite food and drinks. Watch all those fashionista's in the citycentre or let a painter make a portret near Mont Martre
Lessons & tips: Share your experience with others and travel with a small group. It's practical ofcourse, the trip is more fun and friendship is being tightened by this moment.
Resources: Ofcourse the wonderful Thalys [=train] from Amsterdam to Paris, the wonderful metrosystem there and the beautiful cemetery...everything all came together.

LadyTarangel is pretty happy
I’ve been there before, but that time wasn’t too pleasant as we were in hurry and I wasn’t able to bring flowers or anything to his grave, because I was told that it was stupid thing to do! What did he know! Well, next time I will…
There are lots of cool people buried there—like Oscar Wilde, Proust, and Chopin (the picture is of Wilde’s grave). I really hope I get to see it someday.
I’ve always loved Jim and I really feel like I need to visit his final resting spot. Hopefully in the next couple of years, this will happen.
its my hubbys 40th next year and he hae always been into the doors and jim fron being very young this would be the perfect gift for him to go to see jims grave!!!!!!!!!!
...for the cemetery itself, not just for Jim and the other famous folk.
There is a section of this cemetery that is positively ancient. No one was over there and I spent about an hour just walking around the crumbled grave-sites all alone. Lots of other famous people buried here and an entire section of Resistance Fighter graves with very, very cool sculptures.
love me two times baby. love me twice today. love me two times girl.. i’m going away. love me two times baby one for tomorrow and one just for today. love me two times. i’m going away.
wow. this is a cool goal. i’d never have thought of it on my own.
Penelope Acton is rockin' out naked
Stupid as it sounds, seeing his grave made my trip.
It’s so overrated but still very nice to see if you’re a fan. It took a while to find it, it’s somewhat hidden, but odds are you aren’t the only one looking for it. And there weren’t any guards when I went but it was gated off.
The entire grounds of the Père Lachaise Cemetery were eerily beautiful; I spent a good 2 hours exploring it.
Overall I’d totally recommend going to see it.
So not worth it. Plus, there’s this finicky gendarme there, yelling at people who get too close. If you are lucky enough to go to Paris, do NOT waste your time doing this!
judkins is working
I’ve done this, been to Paris, and saw his grave! People give him things, like offerings, stuff like packs of cigarettes. It was enjoyable, and morbid.
