God I loved Rome. I could have stayed there forever!

I visited Rome in April of 2006. I saw the Vatican Museum, St. Peter’s Cathedral, The Spanish Steps, and the Coliseum. It is a really nice city. The people were all very friendly to me. There are ATM’s at regualr intervals in the city, so getting Euro cash is not a problem. Wear comfortable shoes. The city is hilly and you will be walking a lot and most likely standing in long lines. Deffinately try to eat a lot of local food and wine. It is great!

I’ll be here probably in November 2007 :) I’m gonna work my way through Europe starting in Spain, where I’ll be working on an archaeology dig for the month.

Rome is awesome. I only managed to spend one day there so I will definitely need to go back at some point. You will need at least 4 days to fully appreciate everything. There is just so much to see.

How/Why 3 years ago

I love to travel. And I’m such a fan of food. Such a lover of beauty. Such a student of faith. It’s just plain obvious that I need to get to Rome. I’d like this to be the next big trip we take.

When in Rome... 3 years ago

I’ve been to Rome twice, I loved it equally both times. I would love to share ideas with anyone planning a trip. There is so much to see and do, it’s a great place to explore and see history. Enjoyed the Romans, feared for my life while crossing streets, and loved every minute of it. It’s a magical place, especially in the evenings…

Gah! 4 years ago

I just read “Hannibal Enemy of Rome” by Leonard Cottrell. After reading Cottrell’s descriptions of Hannibal’s march to Etruria I am that much more enthsiastic about copying Cottrell and following his march through the Alps myself. His descriptions of scenery are compelling to this end. Someone fund this for me?... damn.
