write and publish a book about ethical spending habits

I’m working on popular cultural material that links into my topic, and that has actually gone rather well. I watched “Wall Street” this week on cable, which I’d never seen before, because I wanted the context for the “Greed is Good” line from it that is so famous.

So interesting, that a morality tale (and it is a pretty blunt-ended one, as Oliver Stone tends to do) was turned on its head into an emblem and a rallying cry for the Greedy Decade.

all my work stuff is on a moving van, somewhere between El Ay and Oakland. When it arrives, I’ll unpack it (ack!) and then I can get to work again. I can hardly wait!

Amazing what a little break will do.

but it needs expansion, and it needs to be translated from Academese to English before I dare approach a publisher with it.

Several steps here: I need to expand it. I need to “translate” it. I need to check out my networks for contacts other than my wonderful and generous advisor, who has offered to help me get my foot (aka my manuscript) in the door and read.
