Was doing great on this, up until last week when I started doing promotions for night clubs. Now I’m facebooking, calling, and texting like mad.
So here’s what I’m going to do: Keep my phone off until I finish my first most important task of the day.
Considering getting a virtual assistant if I get more cash.

This week I’ll be experimenting with only turning my phone on temporarily to check voicemail, instead of having it on all day. So the times I’ll check voicemail at every day are:
1. After completing my first important task of the day.
2. After finishing working for the day.
3. Before going out with friends (or whatever the plan is for after work.)

One day every week I’ve been turning my phone off. Did I miss any critical emergencies? Nope. I’ve generally missed nothing that couldn’t wait a day. Without people interrupting me, I’ve been able to stay focused on the important things.
...But that’s not enough. I want to turn it off while working, while spending time with someone important, while taking time off for myself to relax.
By the end of 2008 I’d like to switch to voicemail only, checked two or three times daily, and resort to a phone only when absolutely necessary, or if two or three emails won’t speed it up.
