How to learn how to bake from scratch by ronella

"nothing like the smell of baking in your kitchen!"

How I did it: I stopped smoking a year ago and that seemed to put my tastebuds in overdrive. I wanted to try all different kinds of food. I love sweet things so i figured that would be a great place to start. That first successfull cake is so worth the effort! Shop bought cakes taste like plastic compared to home baking. I loved baking so much that im doing short courses in pastries, chocolate and whatever other foods i can find. This is so worth the effort...and guys love a girl that can bake!

Lessons & tips: Baking is precise, not like cooking where you can substitute. Read the recipe carefully and have all the ingredients ready. You dont want to get halfway and realise you dont have something.

Resources: The internet is full of wonderful web sites with recipes.

    I started watching Martha Stewart…making me feel totally inspired to try something new, (but given that her show makes things totally over the top it can be overwhelming to do what she is doing).

    I started with a basic cook book checked out at the Library! and looking at cooking in a Microwave!

    Next, I want to know how to BBQ!
