Haha they had to throw me two birthday parties to actually surprise me. The first one, which took place on my birthday, was supposed to be a surprised but I had figured it out. My poor boyfriend tried to keep everything hidden from me but my friends kept calling him on our way back for dinner asking when we would be arriving. haha not to mention my friend who texted me that she wouldn’t be able to make my birthday party (what birthday party?? lol)
The next weekend though my friends, who were conveniently unable to be at my birthday party, told me that they wanted to take me out. They picked me up to go to the restaurant and when we got there all my friends and even my boyfriend (he and I hang out 24/7, how they managed to not get me to suspect anything was pretty amazing) were all there. Lots of fun.

This past December my boyfriend and a few of my friends planned one for me and pulled it off without the slightest tipoff! I couldn’t believe it. My boyfriend can’t keep secrets like this from me…so I admire the heck out of him for it. _
When he and I came back from a fantastic dinner at my favorite restaurant, my friends were waiting at our apartment, hiding behind the futon. The instant I reached the top of the stairs, they jumped out and I nearly broke my neck from the shock.
In retrospect, they probably should’ve waited until I was clear the stairs. =_=; But it was an awesome night anyway.

Muriel is realizing her life circumstances.
My fiance coordinated everything for my 21st birthday. I was actually surprised – but anticipated something right before because as I walked into the den, I saw a cake. Oops!
Friends that I thought bailed out were present and I almost teared up. I think seeing everyone after the year I had was overwhelming.
I never thought I would have a surprise party, but hence the surprise!

My husband and best friend threw me a big surprise party for my 30th birthday. My husband is horrible at keeping secrets from me, so I’m surprised that he was able to pull this one off.
It was a great time!

it wasn’t much of a suprise as my friends all showed up at my house at different times….however it is the thought that counts and i adore my friends for their efforts

Niel is figuring out if he likes what he's doing.
Before I went to the Antarctic my friends gave me a suprise party. It was fantastic! Everybody brought me photos of themselves, which I put in a collage and hung in my bedroom.
The downside of it was that the shock of it made me catch a stomach bug, so during the last week of preparation I was queasy all the time.

It’s one of those goals we have less control over. Even to call it a goal seems like a stretch.
I mean, as much as we’d love it, there’s not alot we can do to make this happen… besides making it known that we would enjoy it. (And that’s something anyone who knows me probably could have guessed!)

I’ve organized a few, but have never had one.

I’m a little bit tired of being the caring one that does stuff like this for everyone. Not that I expect anything in return, but how about they show me some love for the hell of it and throw me a party???
