    Worth doing!

This is tomorrow, and it’s going to be like 72 degrees. I’ll burn slap up. Looks like Melissa shall be carrying her sweater around not wearing it!

    EDIT:
Fuck! It’s today! I can’t even keep with the damn date. You would think that working at a daily newspaper would kind of keep me in sync with the calendar, but alas, it does not. I’ve got a sweater in my car. I’ll just go bring it in and…well, I guess that’s about all there is to it. :)

I watched a few minutes of Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood this morning, then put on a corduroy skirt, a turtleneck, and my icelandic sweater.

When I dress like this, my teenager threatens to send me to What Not To Wear.

March 20th is being promoted as “Sweater Day” to honor Fred Rogers, who died of cancer five years ago. A sweater was his trademark garb on “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

Sweater Day is a way to honor Mr. Rogers who died about five (?) years ago. Even when I was little, I thought he was kind of lame and yet every afternoon at 2, I was there. It was seriously a moth/flame type relationship. I had a pretty damn good home life when I was little, but I can imagine he was the closest thing to a loving father or interested uncle that a lot of kids ever knew. Plus, I mean, come on, Trolley was the shit, and a whole day wearing a constant reminder that things like the Neighborhood of Make-Believe at one point in time seemed so very real seems like a pretty good stress-reliever.
