Communicate better with my husband

... at least for me! I have so much to say and I have so definitive opinions, that I don’t really communicate: I just talk! This morning, hubby had some suggestions regarding an issue with our son and I actually listened to him and wondered if he might be right. I realized a week ago I would have tossed his opinion by feeling he just said that to be right and prove me wrong. What’s with the constant power struggle with me?

Anyway, didn’t mean to say so much, but I was actually glad I listened better!

I am not a very talkative person, alot of times I tend to ignore situations. I need to be more open with my thoughts with the man I chose to spend the rest of my life with. Alot of times I don’t talk with him becasue I don’t want to argue, & want to avoid conflict.Alot of times it’s cause i fear he’s going to disagree or hate what I’m about to say.

A lot of times I don’t talk to him for fear that he will disagree with me, and I don’t like conflict. But that is a part of life and I should have more faith in us that we will be able to work out differences rather than avoid them.
