take a ferry to Long Island

It turns out I won’t be doing this this weekend… more complex plans have come into play!

But it will remain on here. Someday I will plan that road trip, and, gosh darnit, there’s gonna be a ferry involved one way or another :)

I have always wanted to do this. I originally envisioned it as part of a much larger road trip. I thought of it recently because my drummer’s drums are there, and what better excuse to take the ferry. Unfortunately car ferries are expensive. And acquiring those drums is not really necessary. BUT…

you see, I am visiting Stony Brook sometime this spring. Quite likely on the university’s tab.

Stony Brook is on Long Island.

Maybe they would buy me a ferry ticket.
