i totally ignore this goal all the time, but i really shouldn’t. i was just listening to a tosca song and noticed that one of the sounds mixed in is someone’s beatboxing. it sounded so cool. it occurred to me that part of the skill is sounding relaxed and natural with it. i practice so rarely that when i do, my beats are all wooden and kind of lifeless. would not be the case if i practiced more. plus, it’s fun. i don’t know why i don’t practice all the time. silly me.
How to learn to beat-box
How I did it: Youtube videos were deffinetly key.
You just gotta chill and just practice when your not doing anything. I got it down pretty good in a day just because i was super bored with nothing else to do.
Lessons & tips: Focus! practice different sounds seperately. Have fun!
Resources: Youtube.

Alright, As of this morning I can do the full 8-count beat to My Humps, repeating. I have a bunch of other sounds I am working on as well, and I try to recreate the beat to whatever song I am listening to. This is going well. I am going to work on My Humps some more today, then move on to my next beat.
roaringpain is listening to music.
I can do this!!
Learned it on a YouTube tutorial because I doubt you can find a beatbox instructor in the YellowPages…I’m pretty excited!
Currently working on Drop it Like it’s Hot!
well it’s easy or difficult to learn beatbox i am from symi-greece and i want to learn beatbox
youtube is full of videos like this. here’s a particularly useful one i found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1qdyF2NDfw&NR=1
like most things, it’s just going to be a matter of practicing. learning the sounds, the beats, and then doing them over and over.
I never really thought I was that interested in beat-boxing. But now I’m starting to learn the harp, too. An I think karmonica beatboxing is freakin awesome. Thats why I need to learn beatboxing first. Also I play the guitar, and I think you can do amazing things with beatboxing+harmonca, too.
zombiegrrl needs to get back on track.
i think i started to lose interest when i came to the sad realization that my kick drum/bass/whatever sounds like a pathetic fart.
i don’t want to give up on this though!
