I saw Beck circa “The Information” a couple of days before the album was released. It was one of the best nights ever.

Yeha I waited over 4 and ahalf hrs to see him in the blistering 95+ degree TN heat, next to 80,000 sweaty people and YES! I would do it again! Can’t wait. This picture is from there, elvis costello is the one in the pic, but its the same day/same stage.
“the epitome of postmodern chic in an era obsessed with junk culture”
what can i say? he’s timeless, talented & so kick ass.
Once at the HORDE festival in 1996, I think, and again in 2002 with the Flaming Lips. Needless to say, the show in 1996 kicked much ass and the one in 2002 left me wanting more. In ‘96, Beck was young, had the synchonrised dance steps down, and did a live version of “Debra” that was to die for. For an encore, all the members of the band ran out on-stage with big animal heads over their own heads and went nuts. His 2002 show with the Flaming Lips was a much quieter affair, with Beck doing his new acoustic stuff (with pyschadelic backdrops) interspersed with his old, homegrown funk. At least he’s still got the killer dance moves.

short n’ sweet. Great show. I got tickets for a friend and a bunch of peeps from back home. I don’t remember much, but I was a good time none the less.
My then girlfriend happened upon tickets for the second row, and it’s probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever gone to. The man has moves, and I’m jealous. A lot of concerts are just about the music, and his don’t leave it behind, but there’s a huge emphasis on showmanship that just makes the experience all the more worthwhile.
