but with the way my training is going at the gym I hope to have this goal nailed by the end of next week.
How I did it: Alternate walking an jogging each minute for twenty minutes everytime I get on a treadmill. Worked up to run 6mph for 1min then jog 5mph for 1 min, 20mins total. By the third week, you sould be able to run 6.5-7.0 mph 1 min, then 5.5-6.0 mph the next. After a month, I have no problem running 6.5 mph for 10 mins. That's more than 1mile in 10. :) Read how I did it…

but I left it too far into my work out so didn’t have enough energy to be able to pull it off. I’ll try again on Monday or possibly Sunday if I can get to the gym early enough.

After my first visit to the gym in what seems like forever I managed to do 2.28 miles in 35 minutes, averaging 15 minutes per mile. Not brilliant as I really need to be doing a mile every 8.5 minutes if I’m to hit my target time of 50 minutes to do a 10k in 14 weeks time!

Seeing as my health kick starts tomorrow this will be a good goal to set myself. I used to be able to run a mile in 7 minutes. At the moment I think it would be a miracle if I could make 12 minutes with my current level of fitness.
i am going to join the army as soon as i am 16 and i just want 2 no if any 1 has any tips in how to train for this ? as in 2 do a mile and half run in under 10 mins ?>
i am applying for the army rotc scholarship and i need to make 2 miles in 18 minnutes? :( and it takes me ten minnutes to do a single mile.
jessieb4cnusb swam a mile and did some crunches today.. tomorrow jogging or lifting
Calling this done! I’ve done it multiple times, but just now decided to go ahead and call it complete. Mainly because I want room for another goal lol and I know I can do this whenever I want to. I usually run it under 9.
foreverHoping cleaning my room? It's pretty necessary
I do believe that I can do this. Not recently though. I will have to go down to my school’s track and time myself, to see how fast I really can do it if I push myself. I want to try this out within the next week.
xoxo, H.
