join the green mountain club

at EMS there was a sign up event where you get 10% off of your purchase by signing up for a membership. I signed up and have already got a call about some volunteer events. I guess time will tell if it was really worth it or not.

the Green Mountain club is going to set up shop at a local outdoor store where I had planned on buying my hiking boots. If you sign up to the club that day, you get a 10% discount on any purchase. Sounds like a plan to me. Two birds with one stone they say. (I don’t like the idea of killing birds at all but I couldn’t think of a better phrase.)
