turn my poetry into songs that I can share with the world

that I revisit my poetry.

In my many years of angst, writing was one of few ways for me to get any relief. Even if writing about an issue didn’t create a solution, it was a means to get it out of my head. I always wondered if I might someday add music to the poems to turn them into songs.

Recently a friend had come across some of my old poetry. Twice now she’s mentioned that I might want to revisit some of them. I feel like this is an urging for me to follow through and see if any of them would lend themselves to music.

So that’s my intention…to revisit my poetry, see if any would lend themselves to music and end up with some kind of finished product and get my truth out there into the world.
